Where I started
Robert Thorpe ("Ró" [ʁɒ] in Portuguese), born in London in 1950. I have a degree in English (Peterhouse, Cambridge), and for many years worked as a teacher of the language, in Mâcon, France; Mondovì, Italy; Beckenham, England (Europeans, Arabs, Japanese, Koreans, Latin Americans, Iranians...); and finally in various locations in Portugal; I am now retired in Esposende.
Wikipediana
I was just becoming an enthusiast for Wikipedia when I stumbled across its article on Citizendium; I still enjoy copy-editing there.
