What does "abortion is legal" mean? In absolutely any circumstances whatsoever? Peter Jackson (talk) 04:41, 9 December 2022 (CST)

Ah, I *think* it means what it traditionally meant in the U.S., which is unconditionally during the first three months, later only if the mother's life is in danger from the pregnancy. But, I will check on it. This is what we had under Roe v. Wade and the recent state law was meant to protect that.Pat Palmer (talk) 08:57, 9 December 2022 (CST)
And now, I've linked to the text of the law, which appears to provide no legal restrictions at all, and the law explicitly states that reproductive decisions belong to individuals. It also goes on at some length to explain the problems introduced when people are not allowed to have reproductive freedom, such as people dropping out of school before their education is complete, leading to more poverty later on.Pat Palmer (talk) 10:58, 9 December 2022 (CST)
