All, this appears to be a locally-organized collaboration at Kennesaw State--something we definitely want to support! Rather than suggest "speedy deletion," which is not licit in this case as you can see from Article Deletion Policy, let's actually communicate with the people who have gone to the trouble of using CZ to develop their content.

Note, the professor who is organizing this work assures us that the goal is to write "an encyclopedia-like article that is highly authoritative and that cites key references." That's certainly what we want, so let's give them a chance to develop what is obviously intended to be a work in progress. --Larry Sanger 21:54, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

It looked like an outline of a book review to me, with no explanation at all among the *many* on-going entries about what the purpose or goal of all of them was. So I asked for someone else, more knowledgeable than I, to take a look at it for possible deletion. I originally said that I could easily be wrong about it, but that part got edited away. I still think that if someone begins writing what appears to be a very non-encyclopediac type article, with no explanations whatever, it can at least be called into question. I'm not obsessive about this -- I have only flagged a couple of other projects for deletion and they vanished quickly.... Hayford Peirce 11:25, 21 June 2007 (CDT)
Not a problem. The system worked just the way it is supposed to work. The Editorial Council will work out some of the details on class projects in the next few weeks so these projects will be easily idenitified later. I don't think anyone needs to change what they are doing. I can't wait to see how the article turns out! --Matt Innis (Talk) 13:27, 21 June 2007 (CDT)

Purpose of project

Thanks Larry for your support.

The purpose of this article is to discuss change and how change occurs.

Ironic that this gets the thumbs down.

Jim

It sounds like an interesting subject, but the way the article was progressing, it appeared to be more of a book synopsis than a real discussion of change. Sorry for jumping to conclusions. I look forward to seeing this article develop. James A. Flippin 11:03, 21 June 2007 (CDT)

Looking forward to seeing the end product! And, yes, Welcome to Citizendium! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on my talk or through my email. I am one of many constables here that hope to help create a good working environment for everyone, so if anything is a problem, do contact me. I am going to go ahead and place CZ:The Article Checklist at the top of this page so that it gets recognized. I will also suggest to the Editorial Council that we start a new workgroup for Kennesaw State University or something along those lines. --Matt Innis (Talk) 09:53, 21 June 2007 (CDT)

I started a section on the Eduzendium talk page to discuss workgroups for Eduzendium and Kennesaw State Univeristy. These may not be the final decision, but just to flag this as a project article I'll put them in until we make the final decision. --Matt Innis (Talk) 13:34, 21 June 2007 (CDT)

Folks--unless it's important to the assignment that you get specific credit for specific contributions, I suggest that you not sign particular parts of the article. This will help you to work together in a bona fide "strong collaboration." --Larry Sanger 22:50, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

Welcome

Welcome, to Kennesaw State! Nice to see the activity.

If you don't mind my intrusion--I think there are too many headings right now. Perhaps they'll be filled out, but at a certain point too many headings makes an article less readable. You might want to look at CZ:Article Mechanics in general. --Larry Sanger 13:06, 10 July 2007 (CDT)
