Minos [r]: From Greek mythology, he was the king of Crete, and husband of Pasiphae, father of Ariadne and Phaedra. He hired the skilled craftsman Daedalos to build the elaborate labyrinth in which to keep the Minotaur in; later, the Greek hero Theseus kills the Minotaur.
