The Miami Marlins are a Major League Baseball team based in Miami, Florida. The team was founded in 1993 as the Florida Marlins, an expansion team in the National League. [1] [2] [3]
Retired Numbers
Many teams have retired certain uniform numbers in that players, managers, and coaches of the team will no longer use them. As of 2023 the Miami Marlins have only retired only one number, 42, which was worn by Jackie Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers and is retired by every team across major league baseball.
