Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start, and see Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, our help system and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Aleksander Stos 15:26, 19 August 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for welcoming me in the fold. --Stefano Bartoletti 08:28, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

Welcome and comics

Hi Stefano, welcome to CZ... Are you going to start some articles on american (or even non american) comics? If so, let me know - I love the topic, and though I can't be said to be a technical expert, I'd might like to contribute. Ciao! --Nereo Preto 06:45, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

Ciao Nereo, and thanks for welcoming me. As soon as I'm done with my current goal (writing stubs until all links in the current Rome drafts turn blue), I do plan on starting a comics-related article. Have you got anything in mind? There appears to be only one comics-related article on CZ yet, and that would be Batman, but it's too large a subject to tackle right now. I'd rather start with something a bit smaller. Anything you'd prefer? --Stefano Bartoletti 08:28, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
Well, my preference goes to Andrea Pazienza perhaps, but if you rather like U.S. cartoons, well, I suppose Calvin and Hobbes, Doonesbury and Dilbert are my favourites. Not that I am an expert though... --Nereo Preto 08:32, 21 August 2007 (CDT)
I've just realised there is a significant problem about covering comics in Citizendium: the fact that fair use images are currently forbidden. As it stands, this means that no comics illustration can be used unless the publisher gives specific permission for each and every image, and that's obviously unrealistic. They're apparently in the process of elaborating a fair use policy for CZ, so I'm thinking the first thing to do is to speed up that process. --Stefano Bartoletti 00:57, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Peritonitis

Hi Stefano, I was able to verify that you were the sole author for the content of the article. There were several other copyedits, and goodness knows some vandalism ;-) I created the section so that if anyone else wants to question it, they can see our process. We'll just leave that section there when we archive the talk page. I see you worked on a lot of health related articles in wikipedia... good to have you here! --Matt Innis (Talk) 14:39, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Thank you very much. (But while we're on the subject of Health Sciences, please take a look at this.) --Stefano Bartoletti 15:38, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
Good work on the list! Sad though.. however, some workgroups don't have any editors. If you know any from school that might be interested in signing up, send them over. Citizendium does nto have the conflict of interest barrier that wikipedia does. They are expected to work in their fields. Otherwise, I would be glad to help out as much as I can. --Matt Innis (Talk) 15:47, 22 August 2007 (CDT)
Thanks again. And I'm importing right now another article of mine from Wikipedia, namely ataxia. Could you please again confirm on the talk page that is all my work? This is the diff: [1] --Stefano Bartoletti 15:50, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Italia

Stefano, I just noticed your Italy article as I was looking to see what geography articles we have started. Despite its brevity, it is a very readable and enjoyable article. Thanks. --Larry Sanger 13:13, 8 September 2007 (CDT)

You're very much welcome! --Stefano Bartoletti 01:17, 10 September 2007 (CDT)
