Diacritics
That's interesting about Wikipedian diacritics warring. Does it only concern Vietnamese? Ro Thorpe 18:42, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- No, the focus of the dispute is on the names of tennis and hockey players from Eastern Europe. I wrote only a few posts on that subject, but that was enough to attract attention. When Jenks24 unblocked me, there was a wave of indignation that lasted for weeks. Pro-diacritics editors suddenly started taking an interest in Vietnam. The Vietnam project was basically my little pond up to that point. So "Han-Nom" is very much off the beaten track as far as controversial subject matter goes. The content of the article has nothing to do with diacritics. It's just what I happened to be working on at that time. My banning this year triggered a chain reaction with hundreds of articles moving, both Vietnamese and otherwise. Peter Kauffner 21:42, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
