Re: "Internet" pic
I re-uploaded the file at Image:Internet map 1024.jpg and added more detailed information. Sorry it took so long to respond, I've been away. -- Matt Britt 09:32, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
index.php
Do you know where index.php is located on the cz server? --Robert W King 17:36, 23 October 2007 (CDT)
- I'm trying to get a dotnetwikibot running so I can do some things with difference page data extraction, and the script references index.php a lot. Any ideas? --Robert W King 11:40, 24 October 2007 (CDT)
feeling dumb about wiki installation
So I got mediawiki set up on my laptop alright, but I can't figure out how to make myself an admin on my own wiki. :-\ Oh, and also, do I need a PHP editor and do you know where I can get one for the mac OS 10.3? Thanks much. --Joe Quick 15:03, 26 October 2007 (CDT)
- Never mind. I finally figured it out for myself. Killed the database a couple of times before it worked, but I finally figured out what I'm doing and fixed things up. So I'm finally back to where I started and can start working on the original problem. :-) --Joe Quick 00:32, 27 October 2007 (CDT)
- Yea, you'd think that's be the easy part, or one set by default! Stephen Ewen 03:52, 27 October 2007 (CDT)
- Sorry I couldn't have been more help Joe... I'm sick as heck and getting ready to finally leave Iraq, so I'm either at work lately or asleep (sniff) Eric M Gearhart
Photo Upload Question
I've written for an received permission to use a photo/portrait in a biography Alice Bailey. The copyright owners gave me permission to use the photo in the article but not a blanket permission to use it elsewhere. How do I handle this in terms of upload and tagging of the info? The existing CZ pic upload system did not seem to explicitly cover this. Thanks. James Davis 15:50, 15 November 2007 (CST)
- I got it. Stephen Ewen 17:04, 15 November 2007 (CST)
CZ:Upload-Wizard
I uploaded two files today and, even if they are of my own work, I put them under GFDL. I like the CC licence model, but I believe the wizard should provide GFDL as a choice. Regards, Olier Raby 03:17, 18 November 2007 (CST)

Eric, I'm sooooooooo glad to know you're back stateside, physically safe and out of the combat zone. Best of luck in making the adjustment to whatever is next. I've really appreciated your efforts here in CZ, but also in the military.Pat Palmer 17:31, 25 December 2007 (CST)

feel free
Eric, feel free to fill in missing sections in History_of_computing or help out anyway you want. It needs much, much more work. Encouragement helps; thank you!Pat Palmer 01:10, 3 May 2008 (CDT)
Still laughing...
You should have seen my face when I saw the edit summary, "pronounced jitters". Before I read it in context, I was picturing a roomful of generals being told that the Army, as well as the Marines, was being made a component of the Navy. :-)
