In fact I am an engineer. However I feel that writing about engineering is rather boring, so I prefer writing about history. Mainly social history. Because this is not my field I needed (and got) help to find the right sources and I had to spend a lot of time reading these books, but I learned a lot of them. I try very hard to write in an understandable language. And I give the materialistic, empirical point of view. As my English is however rather poor, I will need some help ...
