Dear Natasha,
saw your comment in my talk page. Ok, I understand the situation about your assignment. Let's do that: I'll look at the changes soon and try to figure out how to get to approval without getting you involved too much about marine stuff. As I understand from your message, you are not in an hurry for this, but I'll try to review your work within a week or so and be back here with an update. Ciao for now, --[[User:Nereo Preto|Nereo Preto]] 05:27, 14 November 2007 (CST)

Hi Natasha, are you one of Lee Bergers' students? He said he was going to let some of you loose in here. Thanks for the help and feel free to ask questions.  :) Chris Day (talk) 12:53, 24 September 2007 (CDT)

Documentation of images

Hi Natasha. Nice work over at Fossilization. We need to work at securing permissions to use the images you've uploaded. I'd appreciate if you'd take a moment and visit the images you uploaded, their pages, and give specific source information, as far as you know it: who holds the copyright, the books they came from and page numbers, Call #s, web-address, etc. Treat it as though you are publishing and having to secure these permissions to avoid trouble with copyrights--because that is exactly the case here!  :-) I'm pretty experienced at this sort of stuff so I'll help. The more precise the data to start with the more easy it is to secure permissions.  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 00:19, 26 September 2007 (CDT)

By the way, I am sure you know already, but one way to avoid having to secure permissions for these is to obtain alternatives that are already licensed to allow for reproductions or are in the public domain. See CZ:Images#Copyrights for more info.  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 01:37, 26 September 2007 (CDT)
Hi Natasha. See the follow-up at http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/User_talk:Stephen_Ewen#Permission_obtained  —Stephen Ewen (Talk) 19:16, 6 October 2007 (CDT)

Okay, the following are now documented:

Do kindly return to the fourth image to input author information.

Anthro Workgroup

Hi Natasha, nice start on Fossilization. I have added it as a category on the CZ:Anthropology Workgroup under Taphonomy. Whenever you create a new article, just leave a note on the talk page of the workgroup and one of the editors will add the article under whichever category is appropriate.

Fossil

Natasha, since you have already done the hard work, why don't you go ahead and create the short article Fossil using the information you have collected for Fossilization. This will ensure that the Fossilization page appears well rounded and has strong links - that will speed up the "approval" process. Additionally, look at adding some related links to your page - you can find plenty of good ones at the Anthropology workgroup homepage Here.

Hi Natasha, welcome to CZ! I'll look carefully at your job on Fossilization, which seems hi-quality stuff. You really should work also at Fossil, which I believe is a priority article for Earth Sciences. Seems you are moslty an expert of vertebrate paleontology - why don't you sign up as Earth Science author? A paleontologist is something we really miss.

Ciao, --Nereo Preto 06:44, 27 September 2007 (CDT)

Me again. I am slowly reading through your work on Fossilization. This is definitively one of the best pieces of Earth Sciences in Cz. Great! You concentrated on fossilization in continental environments and that part is nearly complete. Now, if you or someone else could work on marine environments... I know it's a huge work to do, however, you know you could have my support. You can also leave a message in my personal talk page here if you have specific questions. Cheers, --Nereo Preto 05:57, 3 October 2007 (CDT)
As you wrote Fossil, which was a most-wanted for Earth Sciences, you are entitled to claim "points" here: CZ:Core Articles/Natural Sciences (scroll down to Earth Sciences). Not sure what you are going to win if you collect enough points, ask Larry for this (eh eh), but if you claim the points for fossil I'm ready to award. Cheers, --Nereo Preto 05:34, 10 November 2007 (CST)
