Work
I am full-time experimental airship builder. The website for my airship project is www.personalblimp.com.
I also host an annual gathering of experimental balloon builders. The website for the gathering is www.xlta.org
For the 20 years or so prior to airship research and development my field of work was computer and telecommunications research and development. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Psychology and Computer Science, I started my career at Bell Labs and Bell Communications Research. I later moved to Wall Street, to the University of Massachusetts and then to a "dot com" that became a "dot bomb".
Life
In addition to my work, which is a large part of my life, I live in Amherst MA with my wife and 2 children. Our family's website is www.nachbar.com I share the same last name as, but have no familial relation to the NBA basketball player.
