Hello, I'm Steven, a freshman at the [[University of South Carolina]].  I have lived in both South Carolina and Virginia. My major is history, and I plan to eventually get a PhD and become a professor. My interests include history (especially Middle Eastern and European), politics (especially international relations), world cultures, and foreign languages. I have some knowledge of Spanish, but am nowhere near fluent in it.

My primary interest is history, particularly of Europe and the Middle East. I also know some about the history of my home state, though by no means am I an expert in it.
 
Politically, I'm generally center-left. I can read the Arabic alphabet and know a few words of Arabic and Persian. At various points in high school and college, I've taken classes in Arabic, Spanish, French, and German.
