I am currently a full-time instructor of journalism at Universite Galatasaray ( www.gsu.edu.tr), a state university in Istanbul, founded by the Turkish and French Governments in 1992. I also teach at Bogazici University (www.boun.edu.tr ).

I hold a degree in mechanical engineering from Middle East Technical University (www.metu.edu.tr). However, my professional life has been more in publishing encyclopedias and magazines. I was (1985 to 1988) the founding CEO of Encyclopedia AnaBritannica in Turkish, the third language after English and Japanese.

I have been involved at almost every IT journalism activity in the previous twenty years. I have published ComputerWorld, PC World, MacWorld and InformationWeek in Turkish. I have been one of the organizers of IT Global Summit Europe in Istanbul in 1997.

I am bi-lingual (Turkish and English) with fair French in addition. I give university courses in the English and French languages.
