Born 1972 in Basel, Switzerland. After an apprenticeship as interiors designer and three years of professional experience in interiors design, I reoriented my professional career toward the academic world. In 1998, I started studies in political science at the University of Geneva. Since I obtained the license degree in 2002, I'm working at the University of Zurich as a teaching assistant and research fellow.

As researcher, I work in different fields as like social integration of immigrants, cleavage change in western europe, and democratization processes in africa. Actually, I'm finishing my PhD-thesis. Its final design focuses on explaining success and failure of christian-democratic parties in a comparative perspective, covering most of western european countries.
