Miles Woolgar was brought up Africa [Botswana, Zambia and South Africa] until he was 16. He returned to the UK were he lived in Beckington, Somerset. Whilst living in Africa Miles Woolgar went to bording school in Bath, England. Following a year living in France he returned to the UK to study International Relations at Stafford University and then a Masters in Development Studies [Internatiion politics in developing countries]. In 1993 Miles Woolgar returned to Africa to work for a water drilling company in the Kalahari desert, Botswana. Since then Miles Woolgar has worked in a variety of industries from charity [Medecins San Frontiers, Christian Aid] to defence. He currently works as a webmaster for Eurotaxglass's. In 2005 Miles married his Filipino girlfriend Faith Broas.
