Bio

Most of this is "as originally submitted" when I joined CZ. Should any of it be removed? or tweaked?

Born in the USA, 1950. Graduated from Rice U. (Houston, Texas) 1973 (Bachelor of Arts, Mathematical Sciences, and Master of Electrical Engineering). Worked at Texas Instruments until Sept 1979, mostly as a programmer/analyst developing software for [then so-called] minicomputers. In 1978 married Bonni Lynne Jacobs. (son Jeremy born 1982; daughter Melody born 1985). In 1979, moved to Arizona, to start work for Sperry Flight Systems, working on software for avionics. (mostly Flight Management Systems for large commercial jets and smaller [mainly "business jet"] aircraft. After over 25 years with that co. (now part of Honeywell), changed jobs several times, usually still working on avionics software. Some info about Mike Schwartz on the web:

Also, a frequent platelet donor at the local blood bank; and for several years (mostly during the first decade or so, of its existence), an active supporter of a Free-Net [now] called www.aztecfreenet.org (previously called aztec.asu.edu).
