Dr. Max von Zedtwitz is a Professor of Strategy & Innovation Management at Tsinghua University, Beijing, P.R. China, and Director of the Research Center for Global R&D Management. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Earlier stations in his career include Siemens, ATR-Labs, ETH-Zurich, Harvard University and IMD-International. He also is President of AsiaCompete Ltd., an innovation advisory firm with offices in Shanghai and Beijing. Max has published ten books and over fifty journal articles, mostly in the area of R&D management, China business and technology entrepreneurship. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of International Management, R&D Management, Technology Analysis and Strategic Management and four other international journals, as well as on the advisory board of several firms and the Swiss Science Consulates. He holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in computer science, and MBA and Ph.D. degrees in business administration.
