I am a librarian at the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois. I received my BFA in painting from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and my Master's in library and information science from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. As a librarian, I strongly believe that the free availability of reliable information is vitally important to an individual's potential to better themselves and the world around them. My involvement with the Citizendium project stems from that belief. I also continue to paint, play fiddle, and enjoy spontaneous research projects.
