I got my Bachelor's Degree in Physics at the University of Maine in 2005, and I'm currently there getting my Master of Science in Teaching. I'm a member of the physics education research laboratory at UMaine and I'm working on the reliability of standardized physics tests for my thesis. Last year I spent a semester doing an internship at the Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine. It's one of the largest operating genetics labs in the world, and I was fortunate enough to be a part of their educational/research program. I'm not sure what I will do after I get my master's degree, but I'm hoping to work at an assessment firm that develops and analyzes tests for school districts or state level assessments. On a more personal note, I spend a lot of my time exercising, reading, cooking and going for walks with my girlfriend. I have started to teach myself how to make sushi and it's a lot of fun, but it's very difficult to get the rice to be the right consistency. Oh, and I like 'Industrial' music that most people think is just a series of abrasive noises, but is music to my ears.
