I was born in Brasilia-DF, Brasil, in 1980, and I live today in São José, State of Santa Catarina/Brasil. I've studied Veterinary Medicine in Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais/Brasil, from 2000 to 2004, at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - UFMG ("Federal University of Minas Gerais"). Just after my graduation, I've started the post-graduation course of UFMG in the Animal Products Technology and Inspection area and, then, I've entered to the Official Veterinary Service of the State of Minas Gerais, the Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária - IMA, where I've worked from 2005-2006. Since then, I work in the Official Veterinary Service of the State of Santa Catarina - the Companhia Integrada de Desenvolvimento Agrícola de Santa Catarina, CIDASC, whose the major object of workking is the Animal Health Defense, applying tools like epidemiology, animal transit control, Sanitary Vigilance, and others. The responsibility of this work is guarantee that our State/Country must be free of some diseases that are exotic here, that should entail in staid human public health troubles or even in economic damages, and control or erradicate the existent animal diseases as deep as the same others related before.
