Ezra Katz graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering with a dual major in Applied Physics in 2006. He currently teaches secondary science at a public school in South Florida. His interests include Applied Science, Computer Science, Vocal Music, Education, and (big surprise) online collaborative projects such as Wikipedia and Wikibooks. His biggest online contributions are to the Simple English Wikibooks project where he serves as an administrator and works to develop a Pre-Algebra textbook.

Ezra sees open content as essential for the future of education. By contributing to and utilizing free resources, school systems can spend more money on staff and facilities for students, rather than expensive textbooks.
