Doctor of Medicine, Professor in Clinical Neurophysiology and still active in retirement. Initially trained in Physiology and medicine, he has always been a member of a University science or medical faculty with an active involvement in teaching and research. Spent sabbaticals in Texas and Sweden and lectured extensively in the middle East and East Europe and India. Headed a large diagnostic department and developed evoked potentials and spinal cord stimulation. Also headed the University department of Clinical Neurosciences. President of the British Society of Clinical Neurophysiology for a few years. Now he runs a small private medical practice in neurophysiology and sleep medicine. Current interests are in the evolution of man and sleep medicine. Based in the South of England where he likes to fly gliders in good weather.
