I got my start as a learning disabled genius by being born with the birth defect known as fetal alcohol syndrome with neurodevelopmental effects; my IQ is 166 on a good day and my worst subscore was 76 on that day. After an aborted stent over working with a student sales company in 1978 I turned back to my beloved experimental study group at MIT and trying to resume work there. It was utterly impossible. I had been changed from a grantsman wish I was in high school to a salesman and unfortunately I was stuck with it; I had been indoctrinated. About 1 year later floundering in mit's course 25 which is interdisciplinary science in other words a roll your own degree program I did come up with the notion that our Mars program would require self reproducing factories on arrival so that Martian soil could be converted to iron and aluminium using long-lasting nuclear power but with us. In 1984 I coined the term replicon to describe that technology and did not publish that definition. In 1985 I did my first subcontracting under the replikon research sole proprietorship name and have maintained it since. In 2007 I established the replicon.net domain and have maintained it. 2008 I registered a d u n s number for replicon research which is the number required to have an fcn number which I do not have and which would be the same number. That number is 773874974. In 2008 I also established NPI 1659534493 to give back to my community of genius trauma survivors as best I could as a community mental health worker billing Medicare as a soul practitioner. In 1997 I published my first report on the self-reproducing machine tool privately first then publicly at the experimental study group alumni site and in 2004 that report was picked up in Connecticut self-locating machines, a monograph, and I sign in or logged into both Wikipedia and to the rep wrap blog to further my musings public music on the topic. This year I am happy to announce that I finally have drawn the curve establishing the probability of self-replication from very low nearly zero for one machine to rather high approaching one and in some instances due to uncertainties in parts counting greater than one in theory only for complexes of end machines were in is greater than one. I use that as header on my faxes.
