I am a retired textile chemical salesman. For some 35 years I worked in various areas of the textile trade. My happiest times were selling. No one enjoyed getting in a car, driving to some mill or plant and selling someone something they had not thought of buying before I got there. However, at the end of my career, I foolishly agreed to enter into management and while my staff seemed to enjoy my presence, I really missed the challenge of one on one sales.
