I hold a BS in Marine Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island. I began my post-college career as an organic environmental chemist at the fifth largest environmental laboratory in the United States, Accutest Labs.
After a few years at Accutest, I moved to the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston. At Harvard, a colleague and I established the organic chemistry lab from the ground up and performed PCB research using GC-MS analysis, specifically as it related to the New Bedford Superfund cleanup.
I changed careers and jumped ship to a software company called Powersoft in the mid-90’s, starting out at the ground floor as a junior web developer. After several years I was promoted to the role of lead software architect, moving to Manhattan in January 2001 to become the Practice Architect of Context Integration's New York practice.
I moved back to Massachusetts in 2002 to work in IS at Analog Devices, a leading global semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts. I originally started with the company as the Web Development Manager, managing several large corporate initiatives and leading a medium-sized team of architects in the development and maintenance of the public web site and enterprise content management system. Since July 2005, still residing in IS, I have been heading up the Identity and Access Management Group where I architect and implement security solutions for the enterprise. Outside of work I enjoy reading, sailing, biking, crosswords, and spending time with my wife, young daughter, and two dogs.
