My primary academic interests include English language literature, with a particular emphasis on theories of gender, agency, and subjectivity.

I completed my BA at Gustavus Adolphus College in 2003, and did a year of graduate study at Minnesota State University, Mankato before coming to the University of Chicago where I completed my MA in Humanites (again with a focus in English literature).

After completing my MA, I spent a little over a year working in Survey Research at the [University of Chicago Survey Lab](http://social-sciences.uchicago.edu/survey-lab/).

Currently, I work as the Program Coordinator for the [MA Program in Humanities](http://maph.uchicago.edu), and teach English composition part-time for [Harold Washington College](http://hwc.ccc.edu).
