I was born in Lynchburg VA in 1982. I've been living in Baltimore MD since 2000. I received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from UMBC in 2005. I'm interested in European philosophers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly those associated with the Existentialist movement. I'm currently studying computer science, also at UMBC. In this field, my interests include genetic algorithms and cellular automata. I'm also interested in freshwater ecology and fishkeeping. I worked for several years in the commercial fish breeding industry, and I maintain several aquaria. My other interests include permaculture, environmental sustainability, and the construction of stringed instruments.
