Myths/legends workgroup

I've included this article in the "needs workgroup" category because I think there should be a myths and legends workgroup to cover all non-classical mythical/legendary topics. Any thoughts? --Patrick Brown 16:27, 27 April 2007 (CDT)

Patrick, we have been "lumpers" rather than splitters for workgroups. If you look at other workgroups, like Biology, or Law, you will see that such fine distinctions, or even gross distinctions :-) have not been made. Nancy Sculerati 16:30, 27 April 2007 (CDT)

The thing to do is to make your new workgroup proposal here. --Larry Sanger 16:33, 27 April 2007 (CDT)

I did, but I forgot to sign it. Rectified now. Nancy, I think you've misunderstood me - I wasn't proposing to split existing workgroups. Greek and Roman mythical topics fit happily into Classics and Hindu myths into Religion, but the best place for, say, Norse or Irish mythologies seems to be Literature, and Native American mythologies would probably have to go into Anthropology, neither of which seems to be the best fit. Another "lump" for mythical and legendary topics might be a more useful way of organising our efforts. --Patrick Brown 19:26, 27 April 2007 (CDT)
