 Definition:  The specific German political and governing organization, also known as the NSDAP and (German) Nazi Party, led by Adolf Hitler, that was based on the ideology of National Socialism. Translation

Can we get a definitive translation of NSDAP? I usually see it as "National Socialist Germany Workers' Party" and this my first encounter with the "German National Socialist Workers' Party." Russell D. Jones 17:46, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

I'll leave the definitive word to our native speakers, Russell, but your experience is consistent with mine.
While I won't try the exact German from memory, I wonder if there might be some confusion with the DNP (anyway, starting with D), the pre-Hitler party of Anton Drexler et al. Howard C. Berkowitz 19:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
