Neil Haverty is a Canadian musician.[1] Haverty was a member of the band Bruce Peninsula, a folk group.
Haverty was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011.[1]
Haverty's first work on a film soundtrack was in 2012, Small Town Murder Songs.[2] In 2017 Haverty participated in a 9-month residency at the Slaight Family Music Lab, at the Canadian Film Centre, a program that prepares a small group of composers to become prepared to work on film soundtracks.[3]
In 2018 Haverty was the Prism Prize's Creative Director.[4] In its reporting on the 2019 Western Canadian Music Artistic Awards, fyi music news listed Haverty among "some heavy industry hitters."[5]
