Born in Georgia in 1984, Stephen spent the first years of his life
moving from the Research Triangle of North Carolina to Georgia and
back, before settling down and attending Parkview High School in
Lilburn. Attending the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002-2006,
he graduated with a BS in Physics, high honors, and a Minor in
Mathematics, specializing in real and complex analysis. Stephen is
currently a PhD graduate student at SUNY Stony Brook, where he is
interested in theoretical physics at the overlap of condensed matter
systems, optical physics, and ultracold atomic physics.
Stephen resides on Long Island, where he studies aikido under Hagihara Shihan, and searches constantly for excellent Mediterranean foods and other international cuisine.
