An undergraduate at the University of Oregon, I'm double majoring in Russian and Eastern European Studies and Linguistics. History and linguistics have been a passion since high school. As far as history goes, I'm fond of the general history of Muscovy and Imperial Russia, ethnic relations in the Russian Empire and USSR (specifically Moscow's attitude towards Ukrainian nationalism), the history of Poland, and ethnic relations in the former Yugoslavia.

My interests in linguistics lie in phonetics and phonology, language acquisition, and historical linguistics (particularly pertaining to English and Slavic languages).
