Roberto Refinetti (b. 1957) is a physiological psychology professor and higer education administrator. He received his doctoral degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1987, conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois and the University of Virginia, and taught at the College of William & Mary before joining the faculty of the University of South Carolina in 1999. His laboratory research on biological rhythms has been funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Refinetti is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Circadian Rhythms, co-editor of the journal Sexuality & Culture, and author of the book Circadian Physiology (currently in its second edition).
