Hello. I'm working on CZ to extend medical knowlege outside of medical schools and universities.
I believe that all educated people should understand the basic biology of the human body and know the signs of disease in themselves and their children.
Helping to keep information on these subjects of the highest possible accuracy and the plainest possible language is my goal here.

I'm also enjoying myself - writing about my favorite subjects and collaborating with some very nice and bright people.

I am a member of the executive of Citizendium.

<font=1>A note about that MD after my name- When I set up my user page, in October of 2006, I made my name Nancy Sculerati MD because I figured that I'd be writing mostly about medical topics and I wanted to put that "MD", as both a qualification and a bias in viewpoint - right upfront. I have not changed it because it serves a purpose as intended, but it also looks pompous. Especially when writing about subjects like gardening and cooking! Anyway, I thought I'd ignore the general advice 'never explain', and do just that.<font/>
