Michael Cayley is a retired director of two UK government departments. He studied English literature at Oxford University, is the author of two published poetry collections, several articles on modern European poets, a novel, and short stories. In his twenties he edited the selected poems of Richard Crashaw. He conducts the choir and plays the organ at his parish church.
