Dr. John Thompson is an Associate Professor at Buffalo State College where he coordinates the graduate Educational Computing graduate program - http://www.buffalostate.edu/depts/edcomputing/ <http://www.buffalostate.edu/depts/edcomputing/> . He also operates his own educational consulting business, Global Learning Institute, Inc. Dr. Thompson teaches nearly all his graduate courses 100% online, having taught close to 70 online courses. His current research interests include asynchronous online discussions, Web 2.0, and 1:1 computer initiatives. Major current events include chairing educational technology conferences with his graduate students.
