Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (2003), employed as a senior process engineer for the research and development arm of a large semiconductor manufacturer. Current professional and research interests include thin film deposition and advanced junction development and anneal technologies. My prior academic work encompasses a broad range of interests, including x-ray diffraction and reflectivity, solid-state chemistry, metal-silicon reactions, organic synthesis, and physical polymer chemistry. I have authored six peer-reviewed papers, hold two patents with two additional patents pending.

Other Interests

I am the father of four children and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Two of my children are mildly autistic; as a consequence I am well-read in behavioral and biomedical interventions for autism spectrum disorder. I also enjoy highbrow science fiction (Philip K. Dick), mass-market science fiction (Star Wars), and fantasy-themed heavy metal.
