I am an Honorary Research Fellow in the department of Philosophy at The University of Auckland in New Zealand. I also work as an internet security consultant. I studied Theoretical Chemistry and Philosophy of Science at the University of Groningen and completed a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. The topic of his PhD was the calculation of molecular polarisabilities and the calculation of van der Waals coefficients. I am the author of a number of papers in Quantum Chemistry and the Philosophy of Science, and the editor and translator of Quantum Chemistry: Classic Scientific Papers (World Scientific, 2000).
