I am a mathematician working in the field of model theory, a branch of mathematical logic that can be vaguely and incorrectly described as generalised algebraic geometry. I am currently an assistant at the Kurt Gödel Research Center for Mathematical Logic in Vienna.
I studied mathematics in Heidelberg, Cambridge (one year only) and Freiburg, where I stayed to obtain my PhD. My previous postdoc positions were in Barcelona and Leeds. I have been active on Wikipedia since November 2007, with my initial motivation being to improve the coverage of mathematical logic. I have now joined Citizendium for the same reason. I expect that here, too, I will often get distracted by other topics, but I hope that there is a stronger focus on content writing here as opposed to playing a multimedia online roleplaying game.
