Gregory Steel is an Assistant professor of Fine art and New media at Indiana University Kokomo in Kokomo Indiana. His Degrees are from The College for Creative Studies in Detroit Michigan and graduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor Michigan. Gregory Steel's work has been seen nationally and internationally on every continent as well and extensive exhibition in the United States. As a multidisciplinary artists Gregory uses traditional and well as non traditional media in art creation such as performance, video and new technology. In the academy Gregory has been instrumental in developing progressive interdisciplinary curriculum and advanced programs of teaching for the arts and new media. Gregory is currently working with multiple faculty to develop a progressive art/new media program for the Indiana University Kokomo Campus, a program that is well on the way to becoming a working model for other programs that demonstrates the complexity and challenges of teaching art in an ever growing and complex world.
