Professor of Environmental Policy at Bryant College, scholar of environmental policy and researcher on coastal ecology, including studies of microbial communities in coral reefs and oil-stressed ecosystems. Langlois has extensive experience in crafting municipal and statewide environmental policies, and teaches Energy Management Strategies, a course that focuses on renewable energy technologies. She created and is co-director of the Center for Sustainable Business Strategies at Bryant University, and has been integrally involved in the Bryant University collaborative learning at a distance program (CLD) in Belarus, including working with UNESCO scientists in developing waste recycling technologies in Eastern Europe. She has alos traveled in China as part of Bryant's global education initiatives, and created a Conservation Plan for the dawn redwoods, Metasequoia glyptostroboides. Langlois served as the Biology and Zoology Editor for Nupedia, an open source encyclopedia project that preceded wikipedia.com.
