I'm an environmental engineer with almost 40 years of experience in the field. I have an BS in Civil from the U of Illinois, Urbana, an MS in Civil from West Virginia University, Morgantown, and some grad work toward an MS in Chemical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo.

I've been in private practice most of my professional life as a consultant on environmental matters of one form or another. I've worked on everything from air pollution stack testing, modeling, water quality modeling, wastewater treatment plant simulation and modeling, to solid and hazardous wastes, and forensic engineering. Currently I'm working on a water quality problem involving removal of heavy metals from mine drainage wastewaters.

I've written two books on environmental topics: "Remediation of Petroleum Contaminated Sites" in 1992, and "Practical Wastewater Treatment" published by John Wiley in 2006. I've also written a number of articles on environmental topics and currently serve as an expert in one of the oldest free helping sites on the Web.
