Daniel C. Mack [M.A., University of Akron; M.L.S., Kent State University; B.A, Youngstown State University] is Head of the George and Sherry Middlemas Arts and Humanities Library at The Pennsylvania State University, and is subject specialist for ancient history, classics, Jewish studies, philosophy, and religion.  He teaches credit courses for the University Libraries’ Library Studies program, as well as Roman civilization, classical literature, and Latin for the Department of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies.  He is active in the American Library Association, and is a consulting editor for the New Pauly, the encyclopedia of classical antiquity.  Mack's academic publications include research in humanities librarianship, collection development and library outreach to under-served populations.
