Börje FORSSELL

has an M.Sc. from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, in 1965 and a Ph.D. from the Norwegian Institute of Technology, Trondheim, Norway, in 1976, both in electronics engineering. In 1983 he was appointed professor of navigation at the Department of Telecommunications, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway. He retired from this position in April 2009.

He has worked as a scientist in Germany, France and The Netherlands and been a guest professor in Japan and The Czech Republic.

He has participated in the development of Galileo.

He is a member of a number of professional societies in the field of navigation and has frequently participated in organization and technical committees of navigation conferences.

His research interests include satellite and terrestrial navigation systems and technology, radar and communications techniques.

He is the author of the text book ”Radionavigation Systems” and the author or co-author of more than 200 journal and conference papers.
