As of May 14, 2009, Citizendium boasts 107 approved articles, which is almost exactly one percent of all live articles.  In fact, the ration of total articles to approved articles has remained relatively static in recent months, fluctuating slightly above or below 100:1.  It is my goal as Approvals Manager to increase the percentage of approved articles by at least 0.5% this year and hopefully to eventually reach 5% or possible even 10% approved articles.

Some workgroups are represented among the approved articles much more than others.  This is a result of many factors, including the number of active authors and editors in each workgroup, the volume of material contributed by each author, and the size of the field encompassed by each workgroup.  To account for drastic size differences from one workgroup to another in terms of active authors and scope, I've calculated the percentage of developed and approved articles for each workgroup based on the total number of articles in the workgroup.  The results are shown below in a sortable table.
