I am sympathetic to the aquatic ape theory. Although not endorsed by the mainstream anthropologists, I see reasonable points in it, like wading bipedalism and the effect of marine diet (omega-3 & iodine) on brain enlargement, to which terrestrial models cannot provide satisfactory explanations.
