I'm Aaron Jacobs, a first-year Ph.D. student in linguistics at the University of Southern California.
Interests
My academic interests include:
- Linguistics
- Abstract mathematics
- Computer science
I'm also a Mac user and a programmer, the author of OneButton FTP (which needs some serious work, but has not received any for a long time due to a lack of time for programming). My favorite languages include Objective-C and Python.
Education
I attended the University of Texas at Austin from 2003 to 2006, receiving a B.S. in mathematics (with an emphasis on abstract math) and a B.A. in linguistics with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. I am currently a first-year Ph.D. student in linguistics at the University of Southern California. My specialization will most likely be phonology.
