: The parent topic is "satellite" in the broadest definition of the term: any object orbiting around the earth. The subtopic is a much stricter definition of satellite: "a man-made object designed to orbit the Earth for some useful purpose". --[[User:Carl Jantzen|Carl Jantzen]] 10:26, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

How can satellite be both a parent topic and a subtopic?  :-) Interesting... --Larry Sanger 10:16, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

The parent topic is "satellite" in the broadest definition of the term: any object orbiting around the earth. The subtopic is a much stricter definition of satellite: "a man-made object designed to orbit the Earth for some useful purpose". --Carl Jantzen 10:26, 27 August 2007 (CDT)
