Filibuster
If John Kyl has said he would filibuster judicial nominees who are "insufficiently conservative", please find us a more accurate reference. The footnote now only leads to an article that says Kyl threatened to filibuster judicial nominees. Without attribution of the reasons he gave for filibustering, this article would include editorializing content. Michel van der Hoek 02:05, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, ignore the previous comment. The article provides ample reference for the claim. I accidentally only read a small portion of the article. Michel van der Hoek 02:07, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- I can ignore the comment, but I am getting dubious about the claims about "editorializing". This isn't Wikipedia. It is entirely appropriate for a knowledgeable person to make expert extrapolations on general source material, and, if there is a challenge, it needs to be more than WP-style {{fact}}. Especially in the military articles, there is quite a bit of room for interpretation. Howard C. Berkowitz 02:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
- Howard, it's nothing mysterious. When I checked the reference, the article displayed a little funny on my screen, leading me to think the beginning of the article was way further down than it really was. If you read the whole article, it is clear that the comment about "insufficiently conservative" is completely accurate. Objection withdrawn and apologies to the court.
