Unit matrix?

For many years I used "unit matrix" as a synonym for "identity matrix". On WP I got into problems over this, because people claimed that a unit matrix is a (posssibly non-square) matrix with all elements equal to 1. Do you have an opinion about it?--Paul Wormer 08:19, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
